I came to California for the first time in October 2005. I came here to study in LA and all student dorms were decorated for Halloween. After that experience, Halloween became my favorite holiday.

In this Halloween party that we produced in collaboration with Oriental Trading, we brought the “trick or treat” spirit creating little kids chocolate truffles wearing their costumes. The witches were cooking in the backdrop and their spell books were small honey cakes filled with Nutella. Bat Macarons with lovely expressions brought fun to the dessert table showing that Halloween can also be cute. The chocolate brownie cake was sculpted as a smiling pumpkin.  In addition, we made Brigadeiros (Brazilian traditional chocolate ball) with Halloween sprinkles dressed by Truffilio truffle wrappers.

Kids enjoyed having their meal in Oriental Trading Halloween gable boxes. The table cloth had drawings to be colored, making the kids’ table super fun and entertaining. On top of various crafting activities for the little ones, Batman also came to entertain the party.

Adults had their trick or treat day as well. Created especially for them, we served three alcoholic versions of brigadeiros - Caipirinha, Amarula e Tequila (Arriba!!!Saludos!). Their wine glasses were also decorated with Halloween themes – a DIY that I will share with you guys soon. We also had a photo booth with Halloween props!

Hope you enjoy this décor and that it inspires you to create something cool for your Halloween celebration.

For now: Happy Halloween!
