I always wanted to create an Easter decor. However, Easter is right after my kids’ birthday and I am always feeling overwhelmed after their birthday (guess why?). But this year is a little bit different. The reason is that I decided to make my dreams come true. As Walt Disney said: “ If you can dream it, you can do it”, and to make lemonade out of lemons, I took advantage of my trip to Brazil to bring special accents to this cozy Easter celebration.

In this Easter decor, we put together traditional elements such as bunnies and eggs with cute Russian dolls, but here they are delicious chocolate truffles wearing their bunnies’ hats and carrying their bunnies’ toys. These dolls’ cute shabby faces are also on sugar cookies. We have bunny donuts covered with white chocolate and wearing flowers tiara.

I love to give objects a non-traditional purpose, so I use bunnies’ place card holders to carry candies’ names.

A lovely bunny couple bring magic to the décor. They are carrying a small chalk written “Feliz Pascoa” (in English: Happy Easter). I like to use things from my home country so my kids can keep in contact with my heritage and with the Portuguese language.

Stop here to see this simple idea: we put flowers arrangements in reusable kids’ food containers. And YES, you can do it! I washed them, used a ribbon around the glass and clips to give a delicate accent to the glass. I learned how to make flower arrangements with my dear friend  Katie from @tulsadetails .

Of course we have some brigadeiros in white and dark chocolate versions. Some of them are presented in a porcelain egg container and the other ones in Easter brigadeiro wrappers that I also brought from Brazil. I also made chocolate lollipops with Easter accents.

The kids’ table is my dream coming true. I bought some bunny porcelain plates and I put them over grass place mats. The cutlery also had bunny decorations and they are a special friend’s gift. In each chair we have an Easter giveaway to the kids.

One minute of your attention to this bunny cloth that I found and is perfect for this little chair!

For the stationary, I counted on my friend Maria Palito from Party Mazing. She does these amazing decorations that create joy and memories in every celebration. You can find her beautiful kits here.

For the cake, I decided to keep it simple. Okay, not too simple… I baked a carrot cake, put chocolate cream filling and covered it with dulce de leche butter cream and chocolate dripping. On the top, I put some bunnies that I made with chocolate.
